Attached you will find a response that I have received from Christine Chandler dated Monday August 27. However, Congressman Bartlett, who is Chairman of the House Subcommittee on Science, went to Los Alamos and had a personal conference with Ms. Chandler yesterday.
The Congressman is returning to Washington today and I expect to receive a report from him Monday, or later in the week.
In view of his position, I think that his effort on your behalf is more than we could have expected and I hope that it will prove beneficial.
